The Texas State Alumni Association cultivates Bobcat pride by offering fulfilling alumni involvement and engagement opportunities that highlight how the university’s current initiatives add value to every Texas State degree. Janie Strother
Oldest Known Living Alum
Janie Strother attended Southwest Texas State Teachers College from 1941 to 1945. The oldest known living TXST alum, she shares her memories of student life, classes, and the impact of World War II.
